Swimming Lake is a modest 27-acre private swimming pool and hot tub located in the quiet, majestic hills of northeastern Iowa. The entire pool and hot tub provide 9,000 square feet of fun and aquatic exercise for all ages and abilities.

Swimming Lake is owned and operated by Donny Keene, who also owns the popular Hot Tub City and Water Park in Des Moines. It is conveniently located near downtown Des Moines. Swimming Lake was designed and built by Le Roy Smith, who is also responsible for the design of the above-ground swimming pool area at the Le Roy Smith Fitness and Training Center in West Des Moines.
Swimming Lake can be described as both a swimming pool and a mini-resort. In other words, it is a great place to relax and enjoy! The area was originally designed to build swimming pools but since its inception, the majority of the facilities have been dedicated to an above-ground swimming pool. There are over two dozen private lap pools on the property, including three restaurants, a fireplace, a clubhouse, and greenhouses SilverRock Pools. Swimming Lake also features a large number of public swimming areas that are open to swimmers during all times of the year.
The majority of the site’s residential units are located on the main site. This includes two bungalows on the northwest corner of the property and one on the southwest corner. These two residential areas feature two swimming pools – a ladies swimming pool and a men’s swimming pool – as well as a sauna and a steam room. Additionally, each of the two buildings features a full-size kitchen with a deluxe stove and refrigerator freezer. Donny Keene ensures that all of these important features are included in all of his luxurious homes by utilizing state-of-the-art heating and cooling systems throughout each location.
Donny has several other luxurious locations to his residence, including a hot tub, fitness room, and boat docks. Each of the locations is fully equipped with all of the necessary equipment for swimming, fishing, boating, or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. Donny and his staff will always be ready to assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have regarding your swimming needs. He welcomes all new customers regardless of whether you are new to the area or if you have been a customer for many years.
Donny is also very active in the community, which is evident by the fact that he is an active member of the swimming club and regularly holds meetings at his swimming lake location. You will find that Donny is always looking out for new members to join his club so he can meet with them and give tips about swimming, fishing, boating, and more. In addition to holding meetings at his home, he often hosts fishing tournaments and participates in other community events.
